Lagos State did not ban the opening of shops

Lagos state Government in a radio announcement today at 3pm confirmed that shops other than the ones in the market were not banned from going about their business.

This could be in reaction to the disgusting images that went viral on social media showing law enforcement agents harassing shop owners.

The announcement on Radio Lagos news signed by Lukman Iman is as follows:

This is to further inform the general public that the Lagos State Government has not banned anybody from opening his or her shop in streets except those who are in the markets. If any Police officer or any government worker disturbs you in your shop for doing your business, please report to the DPO of the nearest Police Station or call any of these numbers:-
