The Nigeria Premier Football League Management has fined Gombe United Football Club over a fan’s alleged display of unruly conduct which disrupted a match with Kano Pillars on Sunday.

It was gathered that the fan allegedly threw stones into the Pantami township stadium during the match.

A Press release, confirmed that the management of Gombe United Football Club will pay N7 million, with a one-match stadium ban to fans.

The press statement also called out the management for its failure in ensuring maximum security for the guest players.

The statement partly read, “In the aftermath of fans’ unruly conduct in another Match Day 11 fixture, Gombe United were fined a total of ₦7 million and a one-match stadium ban to fans for breaches ranging from disruption of the match by fans throwing objects onto the field of play, to disruption of the live broadcast of the match and failure to provide adequate and effective security.”
