In the course of its raid on criminal hideouts, the Gombe State Police Command has taken no fewer than 31 suspects into custody.

In a statement on Thursday, the Gombe Divisional Police headquarters’ Patrol 999 team revealed that they had arrested people during a raid on community hotspots. ASP Mahid Abubakar, the public relations officer, made this announcement.I

n essence, he explained, the Crackdown on Black Spots led to the arrests and the seizure of hard drugs suspected of being used.

In an attempt to protect public safety and stop illegal activity, he said, “the team, led by diligent officers, apprehended nine individuals suspected of being involved in illegal drug-related activities at approximately 10:00 PM.”

Dry leaves thought to be Indian hemp and yellow tablets called exol or exol, suspected to be hard drugs, were among the items confiscated.

In addition to Muhammad Mamuda Abubakar, who is 19 years old, there are also the following suspects who have been arrested: Abba Sani, 22, Ismail Usman, 19, Abba Dama Sadiq, 19, Isah Muhammad, 25, Aminu Ibrahim, 21, Sani Ali, 21, Babayo Lawan, 20, and Usman Muhammad, 40.In an effort to provide further clarification, he urged the public to continue being watchful and cooperative, noting that in a comparable operation, the same team had arrested over 22 suspects.
